T1DGC Systems Genetics Project
Recent genome-wide association studies (GWASs) have revealed that the allelic architecture of genetic susceptibility to Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) comprises of over 60 loci.
Here we examine the effect of non-HLA T1D risk SNPs in a subset of T1DGC population on regulating expression levels of genes in four different cell types:
EBV-transformed B cell lines (resting and after 6h PMA stimulation); and purified CD4+ and CD8+ T cells.
The box-plots demonstrate the allelic effects on raw normalised, RUV-2 corrected and PCA corrected expression datasets.
Gene Network displays the network of interacting trans-genes associated with the selected T1D SNP.
Following P-values thresholds have been applied: 1. Cis-genes (P < 0.001). 2. Trans-genes (FDR P < 0.05).
